Mission
New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble (NJTAP) is a professional, not-for-profit 501(c)(3), touring dance company with a mission to preserve and celebrate the American art form of rhythm tap dancing through public performances, artist development, new works, special programs and arts education. Founded in 1994 by professional tap dancer and Artistic Director Deborah Mitchell, NJTAP has continuously served audiences and artists throughout New Jersey. NJTAP takes pride in being in the forefront of a great 21st Century tap revival.
